Just four months after becoming a mother, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is returning to work with a role in the remake of TV hit "Melrose Place."
The 24-year-old and her rocker husband, Pete Wentz, welcomed son Bronx Mowgli in November, and the star has been enjoying an extended break from her singing and acting careers.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are celebrating the birth of their first child today.
And in true celeb fashion the couple have given the baby boy a rather unusual name inspired by a New York district (a la Brooklyn Beckham) and a classic Disney film.
Pete and Ash’s child is called…. Bronx Mowgli Wentz and came into the world on Thursday night weighing 7lbs 11oz.

Ashlee Simpson’s friends and family gathered to throw her a Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower. The guests included Simpson’s mother Tina, sister Jessica Simpson, reality star Nicole Richie and actress Emmy Rossum.
“She was glowing and insanely happy,” says a source.
Dad-to-be Pete Wentz also stopped by. The couple received gift bags from Kitson Kids and a mini snowboard outfit with matching gear amoung other baby necessities.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz celebrated her 24th birthday with a white-trash themed party at the weekend.
The party for family and friends took place at her parents home in Encino, California on Friday night and one party guest told People magazine that the singer didn’t let her pregnancy get in the way of dressing up: “Ashlee loves themed parties and costumes.

Pop star Ryan Cabrera believes his former beau Ashlee Simpson will be a great mum.
The singer dated expectant mother Simpson in 2004, before the pair split later the same year.
Simpson went on to marry Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz earlier this year (08) and the pair announced their pregnancy soon after.

Pete Wentz and his new bride, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz confirmed Hollywood's worst kept secret Wednesday: they're going to have a baby.
