Ashlee Simpson has a lot on her plate, a new album, a baby on its way and a wedding. The singer is set to have a shotgun wedding next weekend in California to her rocker beau Pete Wentz.
A source close to the couple has told Hollyscoop exclusively, "The wedding invitations have been sent out, its taking place the weekend of May 16. The location will not be revealed until the day of the wedding but guests are told it will be an hour drive from Los Angeles."

Ashlee Simpson has snubbed her big sister Jessica Simpson at her wedding - well, her music at least.
The 23-year-old is currently preparing for her marriage to Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz, but balked at the suggestion the pair would party at the reception to some of Jessica’s dities.
"No, that would be really nerdy," Ashlee sagely tells Heat Radio.

When Ashlee Simpson once again played coy about her pregnancy during the recording of The Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Thursday, April 24, and stood up to assert that she did not look pregnant, Ellen unabashedly decided to feel for her baby bump.

Insiders claim Joe Simpson wants 1 million dollar for the package, in which pop star Ashlee will finally confirm she is expecting fiance Pete Wentz's child - but he insists the story is ridiculous.

World’s sketchiest dad Joe Simpson has been making the tabloid rounds with hopes of selling his daughter Ashlee’s pregnancy pics. Asking price? {lastnews(10, 1)} million. Laughing price? k, or that’s what at least one magazine editor estimates would be paid for them. That is, these photos aren’t that salable, even if a package deal includes exclusive shots of her baby bump, an interview, and the newborn pics.
