Last night I braved the Ashlee Simpson concert. I'm a thirty-something-year-old woman who battled the bubble-gum-smackin' teenage, squirming girls to attend with my niece. Yes, I did feel a bit old and out of place. However, after waiting for hours for Ashlee to finally make it to the stage (apparently she always is late), I must admit I was anticipating the "live" show. I was sadly disappointed, and still have a headache this morning from the music. Ashlee is darling; however, her musical skills are clearly lacking. Her voice was drowned out by her band, and you could barely hear her voice. You have to wonder, was that intentional? Joe Simpson has turned from preacher to one heck of a music businessman. He has managed his daughter Ashlee into a star with no real talent.
