planning
a
new
tour
of
U.S.
theatres
and
clubs
this
fall
to
promote
her
upcoming
album,
I Am
Me.
An
appearance
on
"The
Oprah
Winfrey
Show"
is
also
in
the
works,
according
to
her
manager/father,
Joe
Simpson.
The
dates
stretch
from
September
21
at
Portland's
Roseland
to
October
9 at
New
Orleans'
House
of
Blues.
The
itinerary
and
venues
are
a
small
step
down
in
size
from
her
spring
tour,
when
she
played
two
months'
worth
of
mostly
arena
dates.
The
album
is
scheduled
for
release
October
18,
a
few
days
after
the
tour's
end.
Her
"Oprah"
appearance
will
come
right
around
the
end
of
the
tour,
according
to
Papa
Simpson.
Her
manager/father
said
another
"Saturday
Night
Live"
appearance
is
in
the
works
but
was
pushed
back
to
accommodate
Oprah.
Ashlee
caught
a
firestorm
of
flak
when
she
was
caught
lip-synching
on "SNL"
last
October,
a
mishap
later
blamed
on
acid
reflux
disease.
