ASHLEE SIMPSON had to face
an angry group of fans who
were less than understanding
when she cancelled her
concert in Toledo, Ohio, due
to ill health. The PIECES OF
ME hitmaker was confronted
at her hotel on Tuesday
(25JUL06) by a 100-strong
crowd of ticket holders who
booed the star as she
boarded her police-escorted
bus. Despite reports that
ticket sales for her shows
have been lacklustre,
Simpson insisted she was
forced to ditch the date due
to illness.

At World's Largest Pajama

Ashlee Simpson is thinking
pink.
To help wind down her summer
tour, the singer hosted a
pink-themed pajama party
Wednesday at New York's
Hudson River Park, where
fans snatched up pink fleece
blankets, throw pillows and
stuffed dogs to clutch while
watching a free show and a
screening of "Pretty in
Pink." The goodies were
donations from Victoria's
Secret, which was also
celebrating the launch of
its new loungewear
collection, Pink, according
to MTV.com.
"It represents a young,
sassy, a more rock kind of
girl," Simpson said, "and I
like to lounge around the
house in that kind of stuff
-- booty shorts, boxers,
cute little tanks. It's what
I would wear and what my
boyfriend thinks I look cute
in. I used to have pajama
parties too -- and I still
do: All of us girls put on
our pajamas and watch DVDs
in the back of the bus,"
Ashlee was quoted as saying.
"I'm actually going on
vacation, so I'm relaxing
and chilling for a while,"
Simpson said. And after
that, "I'm going to make a
new record, and I'm taking
my time with that, and I'm
going to be looking at
scripts, so it'll be a
while. You won't be hearing
anything for a while."

Ashlee Simpson Selling
Her New Los Angeles Home |
Singer Ashlee Simpson is set
to sell her $6 million Los
Angeles home after living in
the estate for less than a
year.
People magazine reported
that the 21-year-old singer
had only high praise for the
property, but has decided to
move into a beach house.
"The selling point for me
was the closet," Simpson
said, "It's 1,300 square
feet."
The property, in the Encino
area of LA, is surrounded by
high profile neighbors and
features an outdoor pool
with a view.
The move for the "I Am Me"
singer may be related to the
fact that her boyfriend --
and band mate -- Braxton
Olita, is a surfer, People
said.

Skechers Signs Ashlee
Simpson |
Ashlee Simpson has signed on
as the new face of Skechers.
The 21-year-old singer will
replace previous celebrity
endorsers Carrie Underwood,
Christina Aguilera and
Britney Spears in promoting
the company’s line of
footwear.
"Ashlee is a leading force
in the music industry," said
Skechers president Michael
Greenberg, in a release.
"She's young, beautiful,
talented, and … is also the
perfect union between
fashion and music, using her
influence to empower young
women to be themselves. We
were drawn to her energy,
style and grace.”
Under the agreement – the
terms of which were not
released – Simpson will
appear in Skechers ads
through 2007. She’ll do her
first photo session for the
company in August after
wrapping up her summer
concert tour.
“I grew up wearing Skechers.
Like me, they are not afraid
of taking chances and having
fun," Simpson said in a
release. “I'm happy to be a
part of the brand and hope
to add a few more pairs to
my closet.”

$4 million (GBP2.2 million)
to pose naked in Playboy
magazine because she wants
to save her body for her
boyfriend BRAXTON OLITA.
Despite the staggering
offer, the singer says she
was reluctant to share
herself with millions of
male readers. She says, "My
body is for me and my love
interest, and that's the
only person who gets to see
it."

Ashlee Simpson Set To Model
For Victorias Secret |
Pop star Ashlee Simpson has
apparently agreed to model
for lingerie company
Victoria's Secret just days
after turning down an offer
from Playboy.
The singer will reportedly
be the face of the company's
new girly line, known as
'Pink'. According to
Gatecrasher, Simpson beat
Kelly Clarkson to get the
job.
Previously Simpson was
adamant that her body would
remain private, despite an
offer of $4 million (£2.2
million) to pose in Playboy.
Speaking to PageSix, she
declared: "My body is for me
and for whoever my love
interest is at that moment,
and that's the only person
who gets to see it."
"I can make $4 million
somewhere else," she added.
